Len Egert is at the forefront of critical and high-profile negotiations, litigations, and arbitrations in the labor and entertainment sectors.

Experience

Len has acquired expertise through extensive work with both entertainment and arts companies and labor unions. Len has served as General Counsel for the San Francisco Ballet, National Executive Director of the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA) and Executive Director of SAG-AFTRA, San Francisco/Northern California Local.

Len was chief negotiator in multiple union bargaining of entertainment and broadcast contracts for film, television, commercials and radio. He led collective bargaining with the Metropolitan Opera, New York City Ballet and major broadcast companies including ABC, CBS and FOX.

Credentials

Len is admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts of New York, California and New Jersey. Len graduated with honors from Cardozo Law School and Boston University and successfully completed the Harvard Negotiation Master Class.

Background

At the beginning of his legal career Len worked as a public defender with the Legal Aid Society in New York City. In private practice, Len also represented various animal protection organizations in impact litigation seeking to improve the treatment of animals. He has represented both unions and employers as outside and in-house counsel.

Len applies his vast and varied experience to creatively solve problems and resolve disputes for his clients.
